Grading breakdown/syllabus
This page is designed so the grading is broken into what is expected from the students.
Guest Speakers are worth 10% of the final grade.
Guest speaker is a pre-approved adult. Someone who is willing to talk about their educational experiences and the path their life has taken them to this current opportunity.
School and Career Searches are worth 20% of the final grade.
Students will have in class time to research and type the paper assigned. The paper will be 400 words, double-spaced, and 12 point font. The student will do 6 reports total, 3 school and 3 career searches.
Job Shadowing are worth 10% of the final grade.
The student will be responsible for 2 during the semester (1 each quarter). A job shadow takes an hour with the person. At the end of the hour, the student will ask questions from an interview-type form.
ASVAB is worth 10% of the final grade.
The students will be required to take the ASVAB. It is done so the students get to see where they are ranked nationally not just within the high school. The score will not be release to the military.
Interview is worth 10% of the final grade.
The students will be required to attend the interviewing day at the school, where they will be interviewed by community members and given advice on what they can approve.
Daily work and Attendance are worth 40% of the final grade.
