Computer Use

You have been set up with a network access account that allows you to log on and use the school computers and provides you with server space to save your files.

 The school rule and class expectation is that this access is used for class related activities.  Your computer access is similar to your locker.  You use it, but the school owns it and has a right to access it whenever needed.

 Classroom Rules
Absent work is your responsibility
Respect Others and Come Prepared
Be seated when the bell rings working on daily starter
Maintain a positive attitude
Ask Permission before leaving class I will dismiss the class when the bell rings

Class Time

During class time, you are expected to be working on class assignments and class projects.
        Consequences:
1st- Warning
2nd- No personal use during break and before school for entire quarter
3rd- Office Referral and possibly lose computer access privileges in class for entire quarter.

Grading

            Grading will be based on points earned on projects throughout the semester.  Each project will have its own requirements and grade scale. I grade on percentages:

A- 90-100%  B- 80-89%   C-70-79%    D-60-69%  F- below 60%

 Make-up Work/Late Work

            Make-up work will only be granted for excused absences.  It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements for completing this work.  It may be necessary to schedule time before or after school to make up this time. 

Due dates for assignments and projects are always clearly stated and posted on the class web area.  The expectation is that you will turn in your projects and assignments on time.  If you feel you need more time, you need to visit with me well in advance of the due date with your request.

Late work may have points deducted or not accepted depending on the situation.

1^st warning: Verbal
^2nd warning: Sent to Office or after school detention
3^rd warning: Sent to Office and Office referral. 

 Tardy Policy

            Tardiness to a class interrupts the learning process for all in the class.  It is rude to the teacher and students who have taken the responsibility to be in class on time and learn what is being presented.  I believe that promptness and responsibility are important, for these traits generally carry over to the working world.  Therefore, tardiness will be dealt with by taking 5 points from your overall score.  If tardiness is considered habitual detentions and office referrals will be implemented to stop the behavior.
