Graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 2002 with a bachelor's in English discourse studies and a minor in history. She earned her Masters in Teacher Education degree in 2003 from EOU and spent the next two years teaching English and at La Grande High School before moving to Milton-Freewater and Mac-Hi.
